There have been some huge changes for Elevate Medical Hub very quickly and unexpectedly so I do apologise for the lack of notice of these changes.

1. I have now left Ochre Health Bowenfels! My last day (yesterday Monday May 1st) came around much more quickly and unexpectedly than I had anticipated so I am really sorry to those of you who have been impacted by not having notice of this.
2. Elevate Medical Hub will be open for business from TUESDAY MAY 9th 2023. A reminder that the practice address is 1115 Great Western Highway, Lithgow. Parking is available at the rear of the practice and also on the street directly in front of the practice.
3. Appointments can already be made between 0900 and 1430 Wednesday May 3rd, Thursday May 4th and Monday May 8th. Please call (02) 5318 2261 for appointment requests (yes we know this is not a "usual" Lithgow number but with modern internet telephone lines new Lithgow numbers now start with 53 and will come up on your phones as being a Bathurst number - unfortunately there is nothing I can do about this)
4. Please note this will only be for appointments requests on or after TUESDAY MAY 9th - the practice will NOT be open for patient consultations or services of any type before May 9th as we are simply not able to provide a safe clinical service before then. The only service we are able to provide is the making of appointments from Tuesday May 9th onwards.
5. At this opening stage appointments will be available only to EXISTING patients who were seeing me regularly at Bowenfels and who have seen me within the last one year. New patients will be welcome very soon - we appreciate your patience and will let you know as soon as we are able to open the doors to new patients.
6. To begin with the practice will generally be open Monday - Thursday 0900 - 1530.
7. If you have already indicated you will be continuing your care with me and transferring to Elevate Medical Hub you do not need to do anything with regards to your records being transferred across from Ochre Bowenfels. The full transfer of records will take several weeks but I can start seeing you at Elevate Medical Hub before that process is complete.
8. I will continue to check any incoming results and specialist letters for patients through Ochre Bowenfels for the next few weeks. Please be aware that you may still be "recalled" for results or letters via Ochre Bowenfels SMS or letters for any tests requested or referrals made by me when I was at Ochre Bowenfels. You have complete choice whether you would like to follow up with me for these at Elevate Medical Hub OR see another doctor at Ochre Bowenfels.
9. My fees have increased slightly for the first time in almost a year in line with the increasing costs of providing quality medical care. A standard consultation lasting under 15 minutes (generally suitable for a single issue) attracts a fee of $92. Longer consultation fees are available on request at the practice.

I am delighted to introduce you all to my new practice manager Mrs Jane Whitney. Jane will be a familiar face to many of you from her previous role a few years ago as the office and business manager at Bowenfels Medical Practice.

Jane will be the practice point of contact with you all until we hire a receptionist.

Jane and I both believe passionately in the best quality patient care for you and we are so excited to get this little business off the ground.

Thank you all for your support and your patience during this time of change. Starting a general practice from scratch has been an enormous undertaking but one I have relished! I am so proud of the space we have created at Elevate Medical Hub and look forward to sharing it with you all.
